I wish to back up system reg, but in Win XP home ed it is not loaded you have
to get it from XP cd rom, but I was not given XP cd rom when puter was
purchased only back up cd roms, can any one help?.

I am trying to set up a limited access user account for
my son.  I want to do this so he is not able to delete
anything of mine.  i set the account up and tell it to be
limited, but when i get on his account he can access my

My nephew checked his email using his NET PASSPORT and now on the welcome
screen it tells me how many unread mail messages he has.  I have tried to
change the NET PASSPORT associate with my USER ACCOUNT in the control panel,

Hi - I upgraded from WIN98SE to WINXP - generally went well, except the
upgrade process seems to like to insert  /DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS/ into
every filespec it can find.  I was able to fix them all manually for
Mozilla, but for WMP9, it changed all the filespecs on my playlists,

Hi - I get this error with a lot of legacy stuff - can someone explain
it better so I can fix, ignore, or  at least understand it?

i've lost my briefcase,when i click on,window comes up
that says briefcase cannot be opened because the disc is

Making me crazy! When I re-installed XP after a major crash,  It always
either starts search companion or virus scan. To open directory, I have to
remember to right-click and then select Open.
Can you help restore my sanity, please?  Thanks

Sometimes when I install a program, it places an icon down in the
lower right corner of my screen next to the time display, and puts
this icon on every user's desktop.  These icons seem to represent
something that has launched, as they pop up in sequence as the desktop

I have noticed recently that I no longer see the "Run As.." option in the
menu when I right click a program.  I was wondering if some patch from
Microsoft I perhaps downloaded could have deactivated it.  I have checked
help and support and it said that "Run As.." uses a service ...
