I have an OEM system that came with WIN XP Home edition, I
decided to upgrade the OS to XP Professional, the system
crash in the middle of the installation giving a
0x000000C2 error.

My wife and I just set up a computer for our daughters and son and we want to
control what they can do on it, so we gave them 'Limited' accounts.  We
install a Zone.com game (Bespelled) and everytime you execute it from within
the limited accounts it says that it can only be run ...

I want to change the default folder in XP which is currently My Documents
and so I followed the instructions I found on the microsoft site which said
to add   /n, /e, select, C:\ to the end of the target line in windows
explorer properties but it doesnt seem to change the default ...

My laptop was sent away as it was overheating. Apparently, the cuprit
was a faulty fan.
After getting it back, it seems to shut down after a few minutes of
inactivity.

I had Automatic Updates set to "norify but don't download."
Today a globe with the microsoft flag appeared in the toolbox, and data
was moving.  The globe rollover said "automatic updates."
I then switched off automatic updates in control panel and rebooted.

XP Home SP1 E-Machines PC.  As purchased it worked fine.
Now it works terribly slow.  AVG6 up to date and finds no
virus infection.  Almost every operation that required disk
access in slow as molasses.  Have done a complete defrag.

I'm having trouble enabling open programs to appear on the
start bar.  It just happened one day and I've tried a
number of configurations on the task bar.  It may have
