On my W95 system in \Program Files\WordView\ there is a program named
Wordview, for reading Word "doc" files.  I cannot find it on my XP Home
system.
I have Office on the W95 system, but I thought Wordview came with the OS.

Hi... yesterday, I bought a new 40GB hard disk drive, and Windows X
home ed. I went through the normal hard drive fitting procedures, bu
when I came to boot... all I got was a quick cd drive check, no flopp
search, and nothing on the screen! Thinking it may of been a fault

I have a problem that recently popped up and I don't know
how to get rid of it.
When the computer is booted up I am receiving an message
that "New Hardware" namely a Lexmark X74-X75 printer has

i've installed windows xp pro but when i start the computer up it just brings
up a blue screen i can't even load windows nothiong is happening
Can anyone help me?

i am attempting to activate windows xp on a new gateway computer.
the instructions ask me to go to start/all programs click accessories
go to systems tools and then click activate windows.
There is no "activate windows"!!!

Is this a file I need for my system to work properly? It was quarantined
by Norton and the program tells me it cannot be repaired. Is it save to

Recently installed the "Microsoft Partner Pack" , found nothing of real use
to me and deleted it ( each segment had to be removed individually) .
I now have a new user on my computer named "ASP.Net Machine A" , now
requiring me to make a selection of user at logon.

Cannot Access Internet Explorer, My Computer & Control Panel. It seems like
it wants to open it but then it closes. But the catch is that it works in
safe mode?
I have tried everything, like shutting programs in the startup, running it

I've set up a customized desktop theme ... exactly the way I want XP to
look. What I cannot find is some way to make this theme the DEFAULT, so that
when I turn my computer on, THAT is the theme that is used. This must be

Hi guys, please point me in the direction to a site that will optimixe my
XP. For example i have re installed XP and now the mouse "scroll wheel" is
scrolling in "jumps" and not smooth. Any help is most appreciated!

I have a laptop with a high speed wireless connection.  XP says I have an
excellent signal and am logged on.  When I start IE6, OE6 (for newsgroups),
or Outlook2000 that all tell me they can't connect.  Any ideas?

After installing XP SP2, my operating system blew up. Had to reinstall and
lost all programs and data, but have a backup of my "Documents and Settings"
files from the night before the disaster. I now have reinstalled XP and SP2,

Will the original serials work, do I need to contact microsoft for new ones?
