Many foreign sites require a language pack to be installed. I assume that
these are currently stored in a compressed format somewhere in the system. Is
there any disadvantage to installing them?
I know that I still would not understand what is displayed but it would be

I think one or both of them are b*ggering up my system, with at least
5 second delay on anything I do It's taken me an age to just registe
here and type this YAWN
I've used Adaware, disk clean up, defragged, and ended the javaplay.ex

My C: drive has a folder called CACHE with about 24 MB of file folders.  I
tried but failed to open one of the folders (C1FCB07) to see what it is
about before deleting it.  Are these temporary files that can be deleted?

I'm running WinXP pro and have lost all the reguler power schemes from the
power options propreties window. Also I'm unable to Save a new scheme.
I beleive the schemes where deleted from the power properties window by
right clicking and selecting delete. They used to be there ...

I bought a new pc and want to install Windows XP.  Therefore I had to make
new partitions on a 200 Gb hard discs.  The thing is, that XP doesn't
recognize the total available storage of the hard discs.  XP only recognizes
131 Gb as a max instead of the full 200 Gb.

I had been using Spy Sweeper, but it looks as though it has gone "Full
Commercial" and now charges.  It was a good program, but I know there are
many spyware freeware programs that should be availible.
Does anyone have a paticular program that is freeware, and is a good program?

I now have XP on my computer but 2000 is still there. I thought I got rid of
it by deleting the folder WENNT but I am still being asked which OS I want to
use at boot up. Neither the old OS nor the old programs show up in the
Add?Remove section of the control panel.

I keep getting this popup every few minutes. I am using firefox as my
default browser ad put a block on IE accessing the internet(i.e. blocked
within zone alarm). The offending popup has a IE icon, and keeps telling me

I recently re-installed Windows XP pro onto my computer. I was attempting to
do a clean install, but instead I have ended installing the OS twice. I get a
choice when I boot up. Is it possible to remove the old OS?

Whenever I reboot my system the new toolbar I have created and set at the
left side of my screen disappears. I have to manually go through the process

I recently purchased a new Dell 4600 because my motherboard died on my older
Dell.  I had a second hard drive, a Western Digital 120 GB, on the old
computer (only a few months old) and want to add it to the new computer.  The
old computer used the Windows ME operating system.  ...
