Each time I have started up recently, Windows Explorer opens in C:\Program
Files\Common\Bin with 4 files within the folder entitled iviaudio.ax,
iviaudioeff.ax, ivinav.ax and ivivideo.ax.
I have checked msconfig/start... nothing unusual there.

After download the window xp pack 2 i have had heaps of problems. Most are
fixed I can not backup anything on data cd's nor can I burn any Dvd.

I can't burn a Windows Movie Maker movie onto a DVD disc.  One thing I have
noticed so far is when I right click START and goto Explore, I can see my
DVD burner as DVD-RW Drive (E:).  As soon as I stick a DVD-R in the burner,
it changes from DVD-RW Drive (E:) to CD Drive (E:).

Internet Explorer 6 opens its window at the size I last used it (I think).  
But when I open something in a new window using right click, it can be any
size.  I want to be able to set this size somehow.  Perhaps I have to close
the windows in a certain order, but I can't remember ...

I have just set up a computer for my Dad ( who lives in France).
Windows XP Familiale, as it is called, is set up in French.
Is ther any way of changing this from French to English language??
I would really appreciate any help that anyone out there could give me.

i have been trying to reinstall my daughters art attack cd rom but i keep
getting a window coming up saying
c:\windows\system32\autoexe.nt. the system file is not suitable for running
ms-dos and microsoft windows applications.

I am going to be transferring files/settings from an old computer to a new
one using F.A.S.T. (File and Settings Transfer Wizard).
In the past I have used a NULL modem cable, but this time I will have to use
a USB cable.

I am relatively new to computers but thanks to semi-lurking in here I've

written catergories ,but when I click on anything with a gif picture all I

I have been using XP pro on a new computer for a few months now.  A problem
I did not have before, is that Outlook always asks me to re-enter my pop3
password, even though I choose the "remember" option in the account setup.

When i start my WMP9 it dissapears to the right of mf my screen somewhere and
i cannot see it. I cannot open it to apper on my screen so that i can choose
the songs i want to play.It just starts playing as soon as my cd is put in.
