I recently upgraded from 98SE - I rarely ran a defrag under 98SE because after I did, the system always seemed a little unstable for a day or two. Nothing major, but an extra crash or two, occasionally had to re-install an App. Did they get it right for XP (Home, SP2)? I s

I have a file on my C Drive called "Internet Optimizer" with a round gray logo with what looks like a hippo face in it. Can anyone tell me what this is and do I need it? If I don't, how can I get rid of it. I appreciate any help in this matter.

In Control Panel, under User Accounts, I view Mary Catherine Muccigrosso, Computer Administrator, Password Protected and Guest, Guest Account is off. In System Properties, under User Profiles, I view Dell\Administrator and DELL\Mary Catherine.

I am having a problem with my desktop icons on boot. They have to redraw (reload) instead of coming from the cache immediately. The cache DB is in Default \Application data Directory and it appears to renew OK.
