You were kind enough to tell me how to get pictures and graphics to show up

I need to install programs from XP Service pack 2 so i can use my pc as a
fax. I had pack 2 installed over the net by the computer shop, but need the
service pack2 disc to complete this install, which neither i or the shop have.
Can I download just the fax program over the net?

Recently I purchased  XP Pro from a discount source and installed it over XP
Home.  Now when I try to install SP2, I am informed that it is an
unauthorized program and I cannot install SP2.  Can I uninstall the XP Pro
and keep the authorized XP Home?

After I log off and allow another user to log on, when they click on their
user name the screen just flashes and does not allow them acces to anything.  
The only thing at the bottom of the screen is an option to turn off computer.

I know that the screensaver can be configured to turn on after a preset

I am running Windows XP on a Compaq Presario 2700. Often the Task manager
shows CPU usage at 100% for no apparent reason, mostly in the system, and the
machine goes so slow it hardly works or hangs up. Please advise.

Suddenly I got the program folder open on top of my desktop, like it was in
the autostart. No files are shown but the message that files are hidden. How
can I remove this folder at boot and just get my desktop on screen.

I have my computer set to recieve automatic updates. How will I know if SP2
has been installed? Where can I find log reports for automatic updates? If it
is not installed should I go to Dell for my update because that is my
hardware vendor?

i've just upgraded from win98 to win xp professional. system works fine
untill i connect both my cd rom and cd re-writer. xp will run with either one
