What is the best ways to regain space on my hard drive. I lost a lot
of it after doing a System Recovery. I already used the disc cleanup
option and deleting restore points and uninstalling unwanted programs
so what else is left. I know for a fact I had more space and used less
tcpsvcs.exe shows 98 in cpu21 Dec 2004 05:31 GMT1
My computer is running very slow.  Looking at task manager, tcpsvcs.exe shows
97-99 in CPU column.  My desktop doesn't do this. I know little & worry
greatly.  can anyone advise, please?

The drop down history in the "run" command on the start menu continually clears
by itself.  I would like it to retain the history of frequently run programs.
Does anyone know the cause or a fix?

 Firstly i wud like to thank those who haave helped me solve my earlier

now once again i need some help
theres this 'tiny personal firewall' in add/remove list in ctrl panel which

    My computer does not evan recognize that there is a CD-ROM drive in my
computer.   I went through trouble shooting to reintall my CD-ROm drive and
at the end it told me that it was unable to install, I got the following
message.  
Error \Device\Harddisk1\DR1220 Dec 2004 23:15 GMT3
This error message keeps occuring on startup and refers to different .exe
files.
What does it mean and how do stop it occuring

I have been running XP-H for about 1 year. I believe that XP is better than
prior versions at keeping itself clean but I also believe that a complete
re-install will clean up a bunch of small items.
Can I just do a re-install Win-XP from the CD or do I need to wipe the HD

I'm trying to use transfer wizard with a laplink cable from a ME to XPpro,
and a floppy. Everything seems to be fine (connection recognized, files saved
and compresed, etc.), except that it's more than two hours now and the wizard
is still running and neither status bar has ...
