I am running WinXP Pro (Service Pack 2 installed). In the Windows
Notification Area I am unable to change the behaviour of any of the icons;
e.g.: an icon showing "Hide When Inactive" will only allow that as does
"Always Hide" or "Always Show". Any ideas as to what the problem is? ...

My hard drive crashed and I installed a new one. I don't have the original XP
disk I installed. Do I have to purchase a new one or can I use someones with
a key code that can be used on more tham one computer? Bare with me guys I am
new to this re-installation stuff.

On a new XP install the registry was backed up before anything else was
installed.
What good is it to export the registry if you import it and it does not
change / delete the hi-jacked entries in the registry?

I'm trying to tweak XP.  I gave my sister and mom different user accounts.  
But when my sister downloads crap like kazaa and installs it, that crap shows
up on my user account.  Is there a way to prevent this without taking away
her administrator rights?

I have four cache folders.  My understanding is that cache files help mem to

There is one sound that the system makes that I would like to eliminate or

original working order so i can set them up  as default browser & media

What's with this?  All of a sudden OE keeps going to a site called
MegaGo.com and the only way I can get it off is to restart the computer.
But then it usually comes back after a little browsing.
