Profile startup screen - unread email28 Dec 2004 22:59 GMT2
When I'm at the 'select profile' startup screen where a profile and a photo
icon is displayed, my profile is telling me that I have 3 unread email
messages, but when I go to Outlook, I show no unread emails in ANY folder.
What's up with that?

I'm wondering if anyone out there has this problem: when trying to make an
outline the letters automatically become capitalized.  When you try to put a
lower case below the next index it becomes upercase.  Thanks for the help,
anyone.

Back in the old days of Dial up modems I subscribed to a particular ISP,
which after loading "customised" my OE and put their name in the top left
hand corner of mt OE window. How can I get rid of this and return it to

I have 2 games [Nancy Drew Secret of shadow Ranch, and Myst Exile from the 10th
anniversary DVD] That are next to impossible to navigate because of darkness of
the images in the game.

If I have my computer set to go on Standby after 20 minutes of non use, will
Outlook Express keep that from happening when it "searches" for new email
every 5 minutes?  Do I need to change that setting in OE in order for

With a DVD-RW and a CD-RW, when ERASING to use again, is the FAST erase just
as functional as the FULL erase .. or does it really matter ?

I had no problems with earlier versions of windows, but how do I change my
keyboard settings in XP-pro? I have the @ sign where the " should be and visa

i'm new to xp and i had a question: when i install software on XP, should i
install that as the admin or as a user?
i usually always login as the user. never as the admin. but i read somewhere
you sometimes have to install software as the admin.

When going to ControlPanel/Add-Remove it tries to create a list of all
programs.The list appears to stop after about 14 or 15 entries but
scrolling through lots of space shows the rest of the list WAY WAY down.
I tried to search the MS Knowledge Base but couldn't find anything ...

When I restart my computor it seems to take forever. Is there a way to speed

Since upgrading from Windows98 to XP, my 4 year old all-in-one will no
print.  I have uninstalled and installed, and the thing still act
dead.  it is getting no message from the computer.  The fax does wor
however when someone faxes something...but printing is big problem.
