Hi all...
My guest account encounters service control manager errors over and over to
the point that I can not use it. So I created a new account. That account
worked fine until I changed it from an admin to a user account. Now it too

Are the command prompt editing keyboards available in XP?
In the dark ages I could use F3 to complete a previous
command and the arrow keys were quite helpful.

Two questions:
1-Can anyone clue me in on how to make a shortcut icon to the Control Panel
on my desktop in XP?  I've always had one (in earlier versions of Windows),
but can't seem to find the program anywhere in XP to make the shortcut.

When I try to save files to a DVD-RW, CD-R, CD-RW I go thru these steps:
1. Select files from the C: drive
2. Copy to drive D:
3. All files show up as "Files ready to be written to CD"

I keep having to use my task manager to clear my task bar.  When as many as
3 subjects appear in the taskbar the computer will do nothing until it is
cleared.  Yahoo is the biggest culprit.  Is there any other way to do this
rather than the task manager every time?

I tried searching my registry for it and can't find it.
I know [cause I did it just recently] I can clear the cache of all passwords
and stuff, but it takes awhile and lots of trouble to restore all those ...

i am getting the following message on some of the internet pages i visit.
