Are the command prompt editing keyboards available in XP? In the dark ages I could use F3 to complete a previous command and the arrow keys were quite helpful. These keys don't seem to work at a command prompt in XP Home

Two questions: 1-Can anyone clue me in on how to make a shortcut icon to the Control Panel on my desktop in XP? I've always had one (in earlier versions of Windows), but can't seem to find the program anywhere in XP to make the shortcut.

When I try to save files to a DVD-RW, CD-R, CD-RW I go thru these steps: 1. Select files from the C: drive 2. Copy to drive D: 3. All files show up as "Files ready to be written to CD"

I keep having to use my task manager to clear my task bar. When as many as 3 subjects appear in the taskbar the computer will do nothing until it is cleared. Yahoo is the biggest culprit. Is there any other way to do this rather than the task manager every time?
