My father in law has just bought an up to date computer with sp2 Windows
XP home does he still need to put the security patch on before he goes
on the internet. It was a wormblaster in 2003.  There was a hole in
XP.

I have a USB portable drive (an old laptop drive in a USB caddy); when I
bought the caddy it came with a tiny driver CD.
I installed the driver on my Windows 2K Pro laptop - and it works fine.
However - when I plug the device into any of my USB ports on my Windows XP

I've just set up XP on a new PC and somehow have a local network icon on the
taskbar showing a loose natwork cable error message. I've not set up a local
network. How do I remove the icon?

What can I do to my system to confirgure it for maximum performance? Are
there any handy tricks/tips that can be used to make it all a bit better?

I got Win XP Home with computer for my business and activated it.  Can I
and/or am I allowed to put it on my pc at home also or will it not be
activatable anymore??

Could someone please tell me where the Windows address book file (containing
all my address info etc) is located.  Can't seem to find it.
