Windows Xp Home Hangs during Start
Windows appears to crash just before the welcome screen comes on and stays

How do I change my power management scheme in my Guest User Account?  When I

I was on the internet when my lap top completely froze. I had to switch it
off using the power button. Now I can not get it to restart. Any help would

I hope someone can help.  Problem is listed below.
When I go to a site on the internet I can not view pictures, go icons, or
other icons.  Instead there is a box with a "X".  I right click, select show
picture, and then the picture appears.  Your response greatly appreciated.

When making changes to a document in word or excel, the top bar flashes for a
long time.  The tool window is delayed or pops up only when document is
reduced (if it let's me).  How do I re-run set-up? Are there any diagnostics
available to rectify problem other than re-install?

Just put xp-pro (sp1) in a friends computer (Gateway 1.2 gig AMD Athlon
256MB RAM) and only a random amount of icons show up in the task tray when I
reboot (sometimes none at all). The programs are running (checked the task
manager) the icons just don't show up.
