Running XP Home, Mozilla 1.7.3 internet package and it seems that
somehow, MX IE keeps trying to download updates and it continues to slow
down the internet access. When I want to check on updates for WXP, I can
always go to the update site. I have also been getting blasted with MS

On a friends pc if you tried to run regedit or task manager the window
would open and immediately disappear.
Norton Anti-virus found nothing.
Spybot found nothing.

I put it a cd rom from disney that had quicktime on it and now I cannot
uninstall the cd rom in my control section. Do I have to uninstall quicktime
before I uninstall the cd rom? I had trouble with the cd rom when it was
loading it caused my computer to stop with only music ...

I want to back up my outlook express folders onto another temporary
drive so and can put the recovery disk in my machine which obviously
eradicates all data.  Can you tell me how to do this please

I am the administrator for my home XP pro service 2.  I need to turn DEP.  
But everytime I click it on then click apply OK then OK again then go back it
is back to the third option which is NOT DEP ON.  WHY????

I am having trouble downloading, I get a popup saying that my current
security setting do not alow this file to be down loaded, or script
dictionary error. How do I configure  them properly. I run xpsp2 and IE 6.0
with xpsp2 update.Help!!

I have a CD with songs and I would like to use a clean CD to record or copy
the music, then attach it to a file and send it to a friend.
I don't know all the steps.  Which CD do I use (2)   CD RW and CD Rom Do I
click on Burn and Rip, can't do that at the same time.

I have xp professional. And I used to get the logon splash screen, but for
some reason I'm not getting the smaller splash screen asking for a password.
How do I get back to the logon splash screen?

Hey, my kid brother downloaded a virus through msn. a file called 'funny.exe'
I dont think it did much, however when i tried to turn my computer on one

i built a new computer, was ready to install windows xp professional, put the
disk in, and now it says that NTLDR is missing

My powerpoint icon is only listed on my desktop fo one of the 3 users on my
computer.   The other 2 users do not have it on their desktop, nor is it
visible Under the Microsoft Office listing on the programs/ start menu.   How
do I get a Powerpoint icon to appear on more than one ...

I've just gotten my first XP machine (still running a 98SE, next to it).

I have made 4 user accounts on my Windows XP machine (HP Pavilion t250.uk)
with Service Pack 2. However i want to share a game in the main account to
the other 3 accounts. How do I do this without installing the game again?
