Running XP Pro with sp2 I was installing a program that requires having Framework installed, so I went to the update page and installed it. That went smoothly and then I got all the latest critical updates that were associated with Framework.

Hi, all Any chance i can hide "C" drive to the limited users, i dont want them to edit or save the files on that system drive. They have to save their files on the "D" drive, which is a data drive... Thanks heaps

I have a HP notebook,& with just the system ON the taskmanger shows that about 185MB of Ram is used .The machine has 256MB of Ram. What is generally the good size of Free available ram for fast operation of PC with Windows XP pro?

Recently my PC has started to show the shutdown/log-off menu without any prompting during the course of normal use. It just appears and thereafter the programs running freeze till the menu is physically deactivated by the <ESC> key.

I've forgotten the password to the comp. admins. account and i don't want to reboot the computer, cause then I'll lose all the info. Is there any way I can bypass or allow another account to be a com. admin. without logging into the other com. admin.?
