Any suggestions as to why my computer will not shut down but always
restarts?

What with things slowing down a bit I've set the task manager to default appear
on the usage graph when I load it.
I have CPU 1 set, or rather I have Seti set to use ONLY CPU 1. I imagine other
programs take and make use of CPU 1 also if there's anything seti hasn't

Is there anything built in to Windows XP that would allow me to attempt to
fix a bad floppy?   A friend gave me a floppy disk and she is trying to get

I get this message on startup all of a sudden
"cannot find RESOURCE DLL."  it is not resource.dll!
I looked at the Registry and cannot find anything there. Nothing in the
Startup under MSCONFIG either.

called Da Vinci that was loaded on an HP.Clerks and department mangager

Dear Kelly,
When I try to  connect to  MSN Messenger, the two heads go round for ages
but I don't get connected.   All I get when I click help is "Application
error on server" followed by a lot of techie stuff.  All I know is that I

I had to wipe the drive and do a clean install with the XP Home disc.  I'm
starting to put stuff back on.  While looking for something, I discovered
that I have 2 files called "MY Documents" and they are exactly the same.  Why
is it duplicating them?  Which one should I delete?  ...

very quickly on my computer when I was having other
problems.  But I cannot discover how to do it myself.
