Had the old hard drive from my 1995 IBM Aptiva (540 MG/Windows 3.1) installed
as a slave (drive F) on my new E-Machines computer.  I also have a CD of the
original software from the IBM.  But I can't open any of the files or start
any of the programs (PFS Winworks and Quicken) on ...

I want to create a backup copy of my XP office startup disk in case of fire,
theft, etc. but am not sure how to do that or exactly that proceedure is
called. (is it an ERD or ???)  Appreciate the help.

I need some help.  I have Windows XP Home Edition at my home.  I am the only
user.  I just got RoadRunner about a month ago.  Here is my problem.  After

I keep getting a problem, I get a box headed RUNDELL
in the box it says Error loading C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll.
Access is denied.

So I created a user account on XP Pro SP2. Easy enough. The only other
account is me and of course I am the admin. XP how to text states that
the first user account you create requires admin privileges. I'm
assuming that's referring to me from when I was installing the OS. Or

There are two users on my xp computer, myself and my wife.  I can get
into any and all web pages with no problems, but she can't.  As far as
I can tell all of the setting for both users are identical, including

Ok I came home at lunch and did what you both told me to do.  I went to the
control panel, system, device manager and then to network adapter, properties
and then power management and unchecked the box.  Then I went back to work.  
When I came home about 5 hours later I still had ...

Did MS tell you in lettering large enough that didn't require a lawyer that you
only bought 25 uses of it ?
Seems every time you upgrade your machine, crash, have to reinstall the os
etc.. in general come up face to face with every bug MS is capable of throwing

Just upgraded from Windows ME to XP Home, first off everything seemed OK
but shortly after completing upgrade everything hung up and pc would not
respond.
Re-installed XP, now it works but all previous programmes appear to
