nor hardware.  I went to the control panel & got into device manager....there
is a yellow question mark under "other devices" sub-menu is video controller

I want to create a .bat file that is unique to each user on my XP Home box.
1) in what folders do I locate these files?
2) does the file name matter?
3) how do I tell XP to run the scripts at logon?

I am wondering where the registry file is located and stored.

in msword i have created alternate key strokes for special polish
characters...  how can i propogate the characters in other ms applications
such as powerpoint and excell...  also how can i enter these characters in

For WinXP I am just trying to clean a program, the HP software for my
printer for a clean unintall.  Add/remove does not remove the folder in
programs folder, nor the folder in the reg.  I downloaded a cleaner
that they say does the job, but when I re-install the software it seems

My disk drive is partitioned into 3 logical parts. I would like to increase
the size of the C: drive and decrease the size of the E: drive.
What do I have to do? I just installed Windows XP.

I am having a problem with a new Dell with windows XP .Sound is sometimes
distorted .This seems to coincide with the Task Manager CPU usage indicator
going from green to red. Does this indicate insufficient memory ?? Have 256
MB and even the microsoft sound sounds sick !!! ...
