The task mansger on my HP Pavilion has had a task running for hours "Updates
from Hp acct. Agent." at bottom of screen I see "Commit Charge 218M/1054M"
What does this mean should I end task?

These are huge files. I am running out of room. Can these files be deleted?
It seems ridiculous to have XP updates that are so huge. There are dozens
that are either 527mb or 967mb.

As a beginner I am confused about the differences between rewriterable
and non rewritable CD's and rewriterable and non rewritable DVD's  What
disc do I use in my computer to copy my files and folders which I used
to copy onto a floppy disc. It is sometime since I backed up my files

Two computer network: one XP HOME, other is Win2K Pro. On the X
machine, I'm unable to turn on Printer and File Sharing for any folde
unless the account is "Administrator". If using a Limited account, th
"Share this folder on the network" box is greyed out and therefor

Now the geniuses there 1st reported no prob. found. Yet they repl. the

I understand thath a CD-RW disc lets you write to it (copy files onto it) in
multiple sittings. My question is -- After burning a doc. from
WordPerfect(R)11 onto a CD-RW disc. Can you go back to the doc. off the disc,
make changes to it and overwrite the original information ...

When I try to download something from the internet, to my desk top,it goes
through the download process but  nothing happens when I try to open it. a
popup says that the drive or network connection that the shortcut (and names

I have successfully installed UPHClean-Setup, however when attempting to

For some uknown reason my system crashed at the weekend and wiped everything.
I have run  Windows XP (home edition) recovery disc, now have accessories,
notepad etc but no word or excell. They were there before the system crashed
