Just bought Windows XP Pro from an internet seller. It was in unopened
box, with unopened plastic wrap inside with sticker (holographic,

My computer  (WinXP Pro SP2) has two separate drives (C and D driver).
During chckdsk, a "Found.000" folder was created on D-drive.
I deleted all recovered files (looks like a garbage) in the "Found.000"
folder.

I was told i should be using cd-rw to copy my documents files, not cd-r.  But
I am getting errors concerning "read only" files.   When I make changes to
the files, it refuses to let me back up.  I found a link to the following

I came back from vacation to find a whole weeks worth of internet history
deleted.  Is there anyway I can access what was so urgently deleted in my
absence? I think there is a way, but I am not very computer savvy.

I am trying to copy a 5+GB file from my C: drive to an USB connected external

I now have XP Pro on a large150Gb partition.  Is there an advantage, or is
it personal preference,  to puting XP and upgrades etc. on a small partition
and data, documents and apps. on the remainder of the partition?

when i run any dvd converter it only runs for about 5 10 min then every one
that i have tried freezes then i have to power down then restart this only
started about 6 months ago my main converter is avs and even thet are lost.

I added a new user as an administrator in xp pro. I rebooted with both
users on. now I only user on computer is new one. I can see the
documents and folders from previous user under explore but dont know
how to reestablish user.
