In this new installation of XP Pro an icon for MS security is on the
system tray and is constaltly popping up a bubble telling me to turn on
auto-updating (and unless I do my system is going to die the death of a

I've read that when you install XP you will be asked to activate it.  That
never came up.
I've read that you can choose to activate through the Start menu.  It
doesn't show anywhere.

After my DVD/CD ROM drive suddenly disappeared (code 37) I followed the
troubleshooting ideas per device manager, i.e., removed and reinstall the
drive but the problem remained.  However, if I run in safe-mode the drive

gday all,yeah when using IE after right clicking,the resulting menu used to
have a 'similar pages' function.ive no longer got the ability after having to

Everytime I try to delete a particular file I am told: “Cannot delete file:
The file name you specified is not valid or too long. Specify a different
