im running ie7 on    xp pro with sp2......my problem ,  
(self-inflicted)........."alerter" pops-up declaring ......scripts are
usually safe do i want to allow scripts to run.....this is driving me
nuts...i know i caused this by turning something on or off but i cannot un do

After i got updates and resarted i had an icon for a camear i don't have.
it's a hp starter camera. it won't let my web camera work. i don't know how
to get rid of it. it's not in add/remove programs.

I would like to update my device drivers and have done driver scans from
several sites but they all want me to pay to download the correct drivers
through their site.  I know that I can use the information I got from them on

I was just typing away in Excel, with other applications open as well, Word,

I did an XP Repair Install and the last pieces to update are
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0/3.0 Service Packs 1. The problem is I keep
getting a message at the end that installation was unsuccessful.  Any
