I had to reinstall the product due to HDD crash for power. Now while i try to activate my product it says: "Unable to establish a connection with activation server. Please check your network settings and comfirm that you are able to connect to the internet, then try again"

Whenever I click on Help / Contents and Index from Explorer the page displays code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> etc. How can I turn this off? Similarly, if I print anything from the web it prints pages and pages of code.
