When I highlight a cell not only that cell but also the one immediately above is selected. How can I return to normal usage? This suddenly started happening today.

When starting up I keep receiving error messages . The most frequent is that the computer cannot upload windows due to a DLL kernel go to technical support for help. If it doesn't nominate the kernel it's another file. If I hit the ESC key it will upload using the xp original ...

I am running XP SP2 and every time I try a "Search" from the main start menu I get a message along the lines of "Windows search isn't working. Please select Start, All programs and Windows search" in a yellow box at the top of the windows search box, which is open!!!

I purchased my computer a couple years ago from a private party who built computers. I came loaded with Xp and I have not been able to get serv pk 2 to install. Just says it did not install. any suggestions?

When the XP SP4 box reboots, a message is displayed "Cannot find Q:\Setup.exe" (Q is the CD rom). The computer hangs until I click cancel, so I can't re-boot the system unless I stand over the computer and click cancel.

I am running Excel 2003, using Win XP Home Ed. I opened a file I have been working on and when I went to save the file I could not. The SAVE command in the FILE pulldown is grey and will not let me save. Then I went to close the Excel program using the red X and nothing happens.
