Running windows xp he sp3.  Lost my operating system, during installation of
a third party program update.  Bought a new hard drive, configured it to run
the same win xp he sp3 os, with my original hard drive set as a slave.  Have

How does one tell which version of a program one is using in Windows

I went to My Computer > C drive > Program files, but I don't see

Running XP Pro with current updates with 1 yr old Dell 410.
Acronis v11 will do a complete backup and report it succeeded but when I add
the qualifier to verify, it always reports it failed?

When I click-on the back button(arrow) in IE7 browser, it sometimes takes
two or more clicks to go back one page.   Sometimes one click will take it
back three or four pages, etc.   Sometimes after one or several clicks and
waiting and waiting, all pages are gone and I'm back on ...

I've been mulling over a little problem. I bought a

Replaced the hard drive, reinstalled windows XP pro and my software. my
computer locks up after being idle for awhile screen goes black fans are
running hard, and the only way to get it back is to do a hard restart. any

I have used these to scan my registry. Many errors (1700) were
reported. Are these things safe to clean the Registry? Can this
cleaning be done by XP or Vista?
