With Windows XP Home Edition, when I attempt to back up my files and I choose the backup destination as (CD Drive E:) E:\Backup.bkf But it will not accept the file name. I have tried my DVD Drive as (Drive D:) as D:\Backup.bkf -- same results.

I am the only user and I want to stop the all 'my .......' folders that seem to be default settings. Could someone throw some light on this for me. I did try and delete them only to find other folders AND files were gone. Maybe I have overlooked something. I been trying to work ...

I'm trying to back up my ThinkPad T30 before installing XP Service Pack 3, as the installation instructions suggest. Unfortunately, while I've been able to back up the C: hard drive's files to a USB drive, I can't create a D: recovery partition or an ASR "system settings" disk ...

I have a huge file(of size ~6GB). It is residing on my PC's NTFS drive, My system is Windows XP SP2. When I try to copy the file to a USB disk, which is formatted as FAT32 - then it gives me error as "There is no enough disk space available"

I am unable to restore to a prior date. I've tried to repair system restore using the install disc but no joy. The message given..."Your computer cannot be restored to (the date). No changes have been made to your computer." I'm using XP SP2.

I got a Verbatum 32 GB flashdrive, which came in fat32 format. In order to handle larger files, I already re-format it in NTSF. My question is about pros and cons for formatting NTSF on flashdrive. Is there any possible pitfall for using NTSF-formatted flashdrive? Jorge
