Windows XP Home Edition runs slowly on my Pentium IV 1.3 GHz 128 Meg RAM system.  So slowly that I have gone back to using Windows ME for the time being
Question:  How much RAM needs to be added to get this system running quickly.  What else can be done to get the system running ...

My PC (running Windows XP Home) crashed a couple of times
recently due to a hardware fault.  This is now sorted but

\documents.
The infected file was Xi.exe.  I could not delete the
file, told it was system file.

first of all im running windows xp home. I had started a
system restore when my baby nephew hit the eject button on
my CD-ROM and ejected the disk!! it had already erased
every thing and now it wont read the disk. I have went to

processes running right after boot.  Is that the reason?

When I start the computer, taskbar cannot be used for a few
minutes. When mouse is over it, it shows the "busy" symbol
but in the task manager it says that cpu isn't doing anything
except for the System Idle Processes. Please help.

My system stalls when shutting down. At the time I was attepting to get the MS Security Update KB832483 (Data Access componnts)and the process stalled at the end of the download and before the install phase.
I could do nothing to get rid on the installer window so I tried to ...
