My PC (running Windows XP Home) crashed a couple of times recently due to a hardware fault. This is now sorted but in the last few days the system has begun to run very slowly.

A w32.worm was detected in shared documents\all users- \documents. The infected file was Xi.exe. I could not delete the file, told it was system file.

My XP Pro is starting to run slower and slower, I have 51 processes running right after boot. Is that the reason? How do I Not start some of these? I installed AdAware to get rid of data miners, but it is still slowing down.

I want to restore to Jan 5th 2004 or earlier. When I click on the previous month arrow (or even next month) It will not do any thing. How can I put the date in as 5/01/04 or prior??

When I start the computer, taskbar cannot be used for a few minutes. When mouse is over it, it shows the "busy" symbol but in the task manager it says that cpu isn't doing anything except for the System Idle Processes. Please help.
