I was looking for help on something. Lately my mouse cursor freezes on the screen...after 2 seconds or so it allows me to move it. This is a pain trying to play any games.

In short the problem I am having is that quite often my XP
pro will completely freeze up.  I get no reponse from the
keyboard or mouse, therefore the only recourse is to
reboot.  It will happen not only when the computer goes

My windows clock periodically will run faster than
normal.  15 seconds will tick off in about a 10 second
time frame.  I have an Asus A7n8x motherboard running an
Athlon 1700+, with 1gb of Ram and a Asus FX5200 (V9520)

I have disabled all but the bare-bones functions of Search
and it still freezes up. The files it freezes on are
random. I have the MSWINXP Indexing service enabled for
what its worth.

Can anyone help me?  Every time i start my computer it
gives a message that it can not locate the
C:\MICROSOFT\System32\System32.exe file.  How do I fix

Downloaded & installed XP Service pack and screen colors
turned up very dark. Can't adjust contrast or brightness
to compensate. Some info bars are unreadable. Has anyone
else encountered this problem?
