How do I create a MS-DOS startup CD using a computer that only has a CD writer and no floppy drive? NERO allows you to create a startup disc but it has to copy the files from a floppy in the first place. I am sure I am missing

Is there "ScanDisk" in Windows XP? I can find Check Disk... but not scan disk. I want the "surface scan" option that it appears Check Disk does not have.

Every now and again my mouse pointer will freeze up and i hear a ding dong sound from my speakers. the pointer remains frozen for about 5 secounds untill the computer does another ding dong sound and continues like nothing

I'll never get this. My computer loads to the desktop, all of the icons get filled in correctly, and my startup group items start getting processed but for some reason, after hotsync loads but before sound volume applet loads, the computer hangs for about a minute. I do not see ...

On some of our Windows XP Pro (SP1) PCs, on the Windows Explorer, the "Views" dropdown has an option called "Filmstrip" in addition to "Thumbnails, etc.". Other PCs don't have the "Filmstrip" option. Why? How do I get it on the PCs that don't have this Views Option?
