I have a dsl system and cannot get internet explorer to
work. When I click on it the window says Internet explorer
has encountered a problem and has to close. I have tried
all my support options including talking to bell south for

a few days ago my computer started to be really slow.
when i look at the task manager it tells me that
explorer.exe is using a great deal of CPU. explorer has
never done this to me before. i'm running windows xp home

I backed up "everything on this computer" to my external
hard drive. When I compare disk sizes, The external hard
drive is showing almost 3GB less than my C: drive and
it's not set to compress. Any ideas why it's not an exact

I am having trouble doing defragmentation on my D: drive
using Windows XP Home.  I have a Sony desktop model

My disk defragmenter is moving at the pace of a dead snail.  Can anybody tell me why, or at least how to make it move faster?  In 2 hours it only defragmented 23% of the C drive.

I am trying to install Windows XP on my machine running Windows 2000. I
wanted the computer to boot from CD ROM as I wanted to install it this way
so I could wipe the current partition. Unfortunateley the BIOS wouldnt let
me alter the boot settings - all drives were stuck on auto??? ...
