When I turn on my computer, the black XP Pro screen appears, then the blue screen appears where I usually select the user. However, the unit freezes with the XP logo on the blue screen and the users never appear. CTL-

A process called svchost.exe and svchos1.exe are taking up all the cpu cycles on my computer so that everything else works extremely slow. These two processes are taking up 95% to 100% of my cpu power. please help.

Hi, I installed some trial software and wound up uninstalling it due to performance issues. I performed the uninstall via the Control Panel "Add or Remove Programs" applet, and the uninstall was uneventful.

I do not know what to do since every time I turn my computer on an error message pops up telling me that it will shut down and of course it does. Why is this happening and what can I do about it?
