When I execute a search, the icon shows activity briefly, then stops.  No
search results are found; no message appears.
I am unable to change preferences because there is no option to change
preferences on the search window.

My PC quite frequently restarts a minute or so after an
apparently normal shutdown.  I have cleared

I had a Virus on my computer which continued to shut down
