A friend's computer (Win XP - fairly new system from
DELL) had a problem with freezing up (about six months
ago) and called for help from DELL.

I have a desk top PC running XP Home Edition and a Lap top
running XP Professional. I am preparing to 'Strip' both
computers and re-install the XP OS on both of them. Do I
need to re-activate the OS for each of them as before? If

Each time I start up the PC I mysteriously get the
System32 folder displayed on the screen. Something is
opening it or trying yo alter something in it on startup
but for the life of me I can't find it. Neither can my

I have started having my computer reboot involuntarily and
usually at the worst possible time.  Once it starts, it
continues about every hour for a period and then becomes

Set up Outlook Express (at least) to read the newgroups. There is a how-to

You will have far less problems than when using the web interface, which

i have several partitions, one of which is for temp files called T:\ and is
500mb in size.
i am getting a problem with system restore suspending itself on all drives
and reporting that there is not enough disk space on one of the drives,
