tech support is baffled. i get my background but no windows operations, but explorer shows in task manager processors, and you can operate in safe mode, although some operations will bog. virus clean, and adware clean.

I was working in safe mode and can not return to normal mode. Use f12 and changing to normal mode using f8 does not return the system to normal mode. Any suggestions
