When i boot up my computer....windows XP....it goes hangs at welcome for a few minutes, goes to my desktop but does not give me a taskbar or startup button...help.....??

hi i just created a new 1.39 gb drive using disk managment
and iw as wondering how can i hide this drive (by this is

Can anyone give me some advice as to what is the best software for
intelligent disaster recovery for XP pro? For example i just want it to load
from a cd resotre all the partions and then restore everything else from

I was wondering if i can delete restore points in windows

i am installing (or hoping to) all my programs on a seperate partition than
c:\ but in the past i have had a problem with norton internet security
scattering itself all over my c: drive even though i specified a different
installation path.

Every other time I boot up my pc, after the Windows XP
screen and prior to the "welcome" screen, I get a blue
screen.  This screen reads, "Checking file system on c:

My computer has had error send messages to Micro Soft in
the past.  It crashed this week with the message

I am having exactly the same problems as "Mark" and I'm thinking that something "built into" one of your programs or patches is set up to do this. My computer technician is having most of his customers having exactly the same problem, calls coming in like crazy and trying to work ...

Thanks for your replies, everyone.  Still working the problem.
Primary IDE cable has ZIP [Drive D] and HD #1 [C:].  Secondary
IDE has CD-ROM [E:] and HD #2 [F: everywhere but "My Computer"
in second HD where it's D:]. All jumpers are set to cable select.
