When scanning pictures, suddenly Explorer interupted, closed the program, and gave me an error message. It said it would send a message to Microsoft, but it did not. It had to do with memory not being able to be "written".

Running Win XP home - P4, 2.6 with 1024 ram. ATI Radeon 8500 with driver installed from Windows update. In trying to install a DVD writing program, Nero, I get an error message saying DirectX needs to be updated.
