i have suddenly had really slow boots. i haven't added any hardware, etc. i have defraged, clean disk, stopped services, stopped startup programs, and still slow. I'm running xp w/ 256mb ram, 30gig hd, 1.8gig processer.

occassionaly as i'm working on the computer i notice that it starts working on something and the cpu % rises. the wise task manager indicates services.exe as taking my cpu time, so i guess its one of my services doing its stuff
