When I shut down and then start back up, about half the
time, everything looks normal, and then suddenly the hour
glass comes back on, and all icons disappear on the
desktop and the computer freezes.   Any suggestions as to

Windows xp has 0 MB set as page file space.  On boot-up
windows gives a page file error and gives instructions to
increase the page file amount.  Each time I change the
Page File amount and restart I get the same error message

What's the matter? Suddenly my "IE" does need to open the

   When using MSconfig to diable start-up items I have

Have XP Home, When using System Restore it says that it has restored files and folders but then when computer reboots i get a message that system restore did not go back and restore. Does anyone know why this might happen?  Thanks much

Is there any Command line or pipe interface to Performance Logs and Alerts
that will allow defining and alert same as in perfmon but without a gui?
Logman.exe allows defining the counter and trace logs but not the alerts.
