When in windows explorer in the "View" drop down under "Choose Details" I am unable to see what details have been chosen in the dialog box as the check marks are not visible.

weird problem has surfaced in that, whenever an option box comes up in Windows, the checks/ticks don't appear over the boxes. Anyone else experienced this and know what the fix is?

my modem is a dial up type ( outside of bt's broadband range ) and it has started connecting very slowly..ie 28 kb/sec.........instead of the usual 40 to 45 kb/sec........any ideas would be gratefully recieved as my system is slow enough already
