I delete listings in Favorites but the same list keeps reappearing every time
I log on to my computer.
I cannot find any of them in the Registry.   Is there any way to permanently
remove these from the list?

Yesterday I tried unsuccessfully to install a wireless
mouse made by Compaq, which turned out to be defective.  
So I uninstalled the software.  Ever since my computer
shuts down every 5 minutes or so.  It comes up with a

just about every time i go online (dial-up), after a
brief period of time, a window pops up in the middle of
the screen announcing that the system is shutting down
due to a remote proceedure call problem.

I'm running Windows XP SP1 on an Athlon 3500+ with 1 GB of RAM.
Inside ALL my applications (such as Internet Explorer, Winamp, Word
etc.) when the folder I choose to Open (or Save To) is the Desktop, it
takes a few seconds to appear, while if I choose ANY other folder the

I have a Pen 4 3.0ghz processor. It is about 6 months old.
It just started slowing down considerably.  I opened task
manager and saw that it was spiking at 90% at times.  The
graph looked like a heart monitor.  There were no programs

one of the users on my computer has lost all of her documents from the my
docs folder. it is completely empty. also, in event viewer this is
completely empty. how can this happen and how can i recover them.
i have up to date virus and firewall which do not report any intrusions.

Has anyone else had problems accessing google? When I try
and load it a page comes up saying there is no website
configured at that address. I have tried system clean up
and it made no difference. Any suggestions?
