I have no idea how this happened but shortcuts to any of my *.exe links in my system open up with the command prompt DOS window. Also at startup any of my startup programs are trying to open in this "DOS" mode and I get an error on many of them saying that there is "not enough ...

My system Volume Information folders are all corrupt. I get an access denied error whenever I try to access them. This also seems to be causing Windows to pause for several minutes on boot, during which time nothing responds.
