When editing permission entries in safe mode i have found that there are
several accounts listed in the security dialogue boxes that vary but do not
refer to any account on the computer. for instance, the list may say;

I would like to know if there is a freeware programme,
similar to scandisk. I have windows XP home version, and
there seems to be no programme to scan and repair faults.

Looking to save disk drive space...can the service packs and security updates be removed from the Add/Remove Programs list AFTER they have updated Windows XP??
