For awhile now, I have not been able to go into standby
mode in Windows XP.  I've tried going into the Power
Settings and Display Settings, but I can't find anything
to give me the option of turning the Standby function

I want to empty my recycle bin, but would like to save the
contents on a cd.  I can't seem to do this.  I tried to
save the contents to a new folder, but again was denied.
Any way to do this?

Does someone know how I can get a faster shutdown with Windows XP Pro?  I
