Can't find my local profile.  Loading on Temporarry Desktop23 Apr 2004 04:25 GMT1
I hope someone can tell me how to re-connect to my Local
Profile.  Windowss XP pro, is logging me as temp profile.
I need to get back to my old one so that I can access my
previous desktop.

I have eliminated any/all icons that are not shortcuts
from the desktop of a Windows XP Pro / Intel user
production system.  His active user profile is still in
excess of 110Mb.  What else can be done (short of a

I use windows xp. I have installed office 2002.  All of
the programs work except for excel.  When I open or close
the program, I get the following message, "Run-time
error '53':  File not found: clicka32.dll"

My last CHKDSK reported read, write errors then 72k of bad clusters.
What is the general procedure one should take regarding these types of
errors? Does this mean that the hd is on its way out? Is a call to

Running XP Home and power supply packed it in.  Replaced
power supply and now on cold boot get the following error:

While disk cleaning one file got deleted.
Norton Disk Dr says mscoree.dll file is missing from:
program files\common files\install
shield\professional\runtime\0701\dotnet installer.exe

In my sysconfig I indicate Universal Plug and Play as
checked but it shows the status as Stopped.
I have installed it a number of times from Add New... and
it seems to have installed.
