Defrag destroyed my harddrive18 Apr 2004 16:53 GMT2
After running defrag on my laptop I've got a bunch of
files with CRC-error scattered around my harddrive. Are
there any way of fixing this problem?

i have just upgraded from win 98 to win xp and it cannot find the driver for the sound card. I do not know how to find out what type of sound card it is for me to search for the required driver plz help

hey, theres this program that runs called SVCHOST but it
takes up loads of CPU usage and therefor slows the
computer way down, can  anyone tell me why it does this
or how i could run it without it takin up so much CPU

Something has caused my defrag not to work.  When I run
defrag it shuts down the computer after about 40% to 50%.  
It will run for that amount then reboots itself is there
any explanation that can help me?

I've been having this problem for 2 weeks where the start
up bar doesn't work and i can't access my programs tha t
i want to use.
I tried ending the task "explorer.exe" and runing it

When I stop or restart Windows XP I receive an error that
the program wupdater cannot stop, and an option to end the
program manually.  I believe wupdater is the automatic
program to check for windows updates.  What would make it

I need some help. I can't seem to right-click on my start
