My welcome screen has started to freeze on the welcome screen for 40 seconds, never used to do this...Why???

I have a problem with Win XP Pro.  Windows explorer keeps
crashin!  It seems to be random and not always when im
doing a certain task.  Though when doing basic windows
things like cutting, moving files it also happens.

I've done a clean installation (new partition and all) of
Windows XP Pro with SP1 and all critical updates and when I
pull up the performance monitor it shows CPU activity at a
constant ~45% activity with no applications running.  All

will have this error " the procedure entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll " whenever i click on system restor. Anyone can help. Thanks....

I recently updated from Win2K pro to Win XP pro, however
I failed to remove the old 2k OS which is taking up a
considerable amount of space on my hard drive.  Can I
still remove 2K without affecting XP, and how?  Thanks !!!

im currently running windows xp home edition and friends
have downloaded some spyware that i cannot uninstall so i
did a systems restall and now im missing some files and
my computer will not let me uninstall anything please help

I had to reinstall XP after a crash (no other fixes worked). Everything is back to normal but I no longer have any audio.
Device manager indicates Sound Blaster 16 or AWE32 or compatible device" Yellow circle with exclamation mark

I am trying to write some picture files on to a CD. I have
tried this many times, both with recordable and rewritable
CDs, but it hasn't worked yet. I have written some
document files to a CD to back them up but I keep getting

On Start-up I get a screen with ATProcess Watch and
states that  Activex component can't create object and
then another screen that states  (run-time error 429)

I am trying to capture video and audio from a VHS tape
through Studio 9 software, with Windows XP Home Edition.  
I can capture the video just fine but cannot capture the

I have seen this problem posted many times.  However, I haven't seen any resolutions

I have XP pro, my computer wants to redraw to icons on the desktop
a few times during a session especially if I am using the CD.

Each time I power up my PC I get a blue creen error
telling me to check all my drivers, which I have done.
It varies in information but only occurs once on each
power up.

The Minimize window doesn't-it goes to the desktop each time instead. It
has been happening since I had to reinstall everything due to the
Blaster Worm which hit me recently. ?????
