I recently had a virus, I'm still not sure which one, but
the two other computers on my network had the nimda
virus....We successfully got them cleaned off, but are
having great problems with this machine!!  I remember

I'm running XP Home.  When  I started the computer this
morning, I was unable to boot Windows.  I got a message
that my Windows\system\configuration\system 32 (or some

Installed XP home edition...only problem is when I click
on My Computer...XP just hangs there for about two
minutes and displays the info.  Everything else run fine
and fast.

I have a Maxtor 250GB USB H/D which is practically full. I have move over 9GB to another drive successfully but my free space on the Maxtor remains unchanged. Is there a reason for this as I have done this in the past without any worries

My wifes computer was running fine until yesterday,
started it up and got a couple error reports, it ran for
a couple hours, she updated her media player and then

I am using MSCONFIG to track down a driver problem on my
PC that is running WIN XP Home edition.  I have found a
combination of programs in the STARTUP tab in MSCONFIG
that has isolated the problem.  I would now like to delete

I am running XP Pro SP1 and just upgraded Office XP to
Office 2003. Now the svchost.exe process runs continously
at 95-100% and makes the machine unusable. I have all the
latest updates, have checked for virus and spyware.

I had a really strange thing happen on the weekend.  I
used the Disk Cleanup utility and browsed through all the
options and saw a Content & Indexing Service entry in the
list of things I could cleanup.

every five minutes my cursor feezes. I unplug it and
replug it and it unfreezes. However, five minutes later,
it will freeze again.

Just instulled XP Pro. Had Home addition before. Now whenever scroling the Windows or Internet browser, the picture on the page scrols in waves, so it brakes up. Very annoying. Does anyone know what might be the reason? Thnx
