Hi y'all I disconnected my DSL-cable during startup (tip I found in this NG) and my system is up and running in no time Supposedly, XP is looking for networking connections during startup and this is what takes it so long.. Michael

the system restore function will not work. It has always worked for the past 2 years and just the past few days it no longer works. I can make a restore point but if I shut down the computer the restore point is gone. I sure

Computer runs XP. When starting computer from it being powered off it runs extremely slow. Have to open the task manager and it shows RUNDLL32 using 97% of the CPU. Once that process is terminated computer runs fine.
