I have a Compaq with an AMD-K6 400 mz with 165 mb ram and
an 8 gb hard drive 1/4 full. I upgraded from windows 98
to xp home and viola calling up anyprogram is now slower
than my old 8088. I'm not ready to be in the dark ages

I am having problems booting up my Windows XP Pro system.

WinXP Pro, Outlook 2k SP3 POP3 server connect failures.
a) can send/receive emails under 100kb
b) setup Outlook logging, and see server connect failures
in logs for all email accounts across 3 domains.

when I start up my pc (I'm dutch) i see that my cpu uses +-45 % only for just being on
sometimes it raises to 100%,  and then after a time it goes back to normal like 2-5%
