I have WinXP installed and most of the updates already
installed is there no way i can find them on my computer
like in temp or somewhere plz help or atleast tell me if

The task manager somehow, I can only see the part of the programs and i can shut them down but i can't find processes, or go to the menu, or even the big X sign to close the task manager window? Any help...

system restore to undo changes\PICK A TASK, I find "Run
the system restore wizard" has a "RED DOT" on the end of

My temporary folder in the windows directory has about
150 Mb of data in it, is it safe to delete this data to
free up disc space.

When ever i have a page(web page or otherwise).  The scrolling is very choppy like i`m moving too fast. Does anyone know the solution to fix the annoying problem?

my laptop is very slow i have scanned my pc for viruses
non found, i ahve removed all spyware,adware with spybot
and adware i ahve even defragged my ahrdrive with
diskkeeper but my laptop is still very slow at shut down

Desktop Web shortcuts no longer work properly in XP.  
Some work when double clicked.  Others work
intermittenly.  MS Office Toolbar with Web Shortcuts
usually don't work at all, or prompt some kind of pop-up

I have taken the steps necessary to clean my hard drive
from all unwanted programs, found 4 viruses and cleaned
them with Norton, but the computer still does not behave

I was trying to use X-Planes on Windows XP, but the
program crashed. No big deal, since I was planning on
getting rid of it anyway, but when I got back to my
desktop, it was changed. The icons were all in 16-bit (a

I am running xp pro.  I have boot magic. after boot magic
loads  I get a error message that reads  corrupt or
missing files  windows root\system 32\hal.dll  .  Using
the F8 options  i cannot get around the error message.

I have a Pentium 4 and 2 hard drives with over 75% free in one and 80% free
in the other and I am getting messages that my memory is low. Does anyone
know how to increase it.

Im on win xp home edition. My pc keeps comming up with this blue screen were i have to reset the pc. it is constantly doing it. i sometimes get a message wen i log back on saying "windows has recovered from a serious error. Would u like to sen an error report blah blah" ive done ...
